Its really horrible, and gives bad impression on Booked.net as hotel has following problems: noisy, no reception, and its a home not a hotel.

Even though bathrooms and toilets were shared, the ratio of bathrooms to rooms was high, and as such they were always available and in a clean condition. The kitchen was spacious and constantly had croissants or tea for the residents, and seemed like a good place in which to cook. The air conditioning was also a blessing, and the wi-fi was quite impressive - we could even be on the Internet in a cafe across the street!
Actually finding the place! We had forgotten what number it was, and there were no signs or posters indicating it. Not even on the building door! Somehow we managed to get inside the building, and after ringing a few bells, we eventually found the main door... only to then have to call a Spanish number in order for someone to let us in! From walking around the corridors, I also got the impression that some rooms were considerably nicer than others.

The best part was the B&B's proximity to most interesting parts of Barcelona. The B&B was open to us 24/7 and you did not have to get up early to have breakfast; the kitchen was open and available all of the time.
This is not a complaint, because I cannot see how management could do anything about the fact that the room we were in, had a horrendous noise level coming from the the traffic in the street. It turned out that this street was one of the busiest thoroughfares in the city. Also the regularly scheduled earthquakes had to come from the subway, even tough there was no underground train path to be found on the subway map. Ergo: "Earplugs are a must!"

The staff here are very nice! It is a good location, walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. It is kept very clean and rooms are an adequate size. There is a common area, a fully equipped kitchen, and breakfast.
We had problems with the wireless, but were able to pick up a different wireless signal from our room. It is on a busy street, which was loud at night. Most of the showers are very small. Not a big deal, but if you require more room it would be tight. There was one bigger shower, but it seemed to be a popular choice and we never got to use it.

We liked the location, extrememly close to a number of attractions and good resteraunts.
Breakfast was served with warm milk, juice and yoghurts. Breakfast would be greatly improved if they had a fridge and could, therefore provide cold milk and juice as warm milk on cereal is horrible. A sign indicating the location of the hotel would help.

The accommodation was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. At this end of the market it is rare to find such a comfy, well appointed accommodation.

The location.
The beds are short, and the lamps which were right under the beds on the wall-they were very close to our heads. It is inconvinient

The hotel location is perfect - the heart of The Gothic Quarter so you can walk around until the very late night. The personal is solicitous. And the price is really nice.
Via Laietana is very noisy street even in the night so it's hard to fall asleep without earplugs. Moreover, the internal walls are too thin so you can be awaken by voluptuous cries and groans of your passionate neighbours. There are 2 common bathrooms with 4 showers and 1 small kitchen for all guests so sometimes you have to wait for your turn.

Apart from some showers being improperly functional or even out of order, the stay was good, and the room itself was really conffy, that was pretty much it, what I needed!

The best feature of Bed and Breakfast Via Laietana is location in historical centre of town and styling of living house: it creates a sense that you are a citizen of the town.
There is only instant coffee for breakfast - it's a problem when you don't like it.

Clean, and good location.
It was difficult to find, nothing outside saying that the hostel was there.

Cheap for a room in the city centre. Convenient location. Friendly staff though she's always absent - you have to knock on her room door for an issue. Best thing is the kitchen. You can buy local fruits and snacks and eat there. Some guests even cooked. It's the best spot in the whole house.
Sorry to say there are too many things I don't like. There's so much potential to this place and it really needs to buck up. For God's sake, paint the wall - it's extremely dirty & still has the dirt and marks of previous home owner. Rooms are not cleaned everyday so don't stay longer than 2 days. Smell of humidity. You can open up the windown but the air is polluted. Extremely noisy from traffic noise, I felt like I was sleeping on the street. Squeezing 2 showers into 1 bathroom while rendering 1 sink useless just don't make sense. No internet, no Wi-Fi - it will never work and they won't fix it. Staff has a surrendering can't-do attitude. Bed is too old. Stay at maximum 1 night or you may feel miserable.

Impossible to sleep without ear plugs - it ´s situated on very noisy street! On top of that there are 2 lines of metro under it - and you can very clearly recognize, which train just approached the station.
